Founded in 2013, Royle Media is owned by Dr. Shani Johnson, who is a member of the Hoopa Valley Tribe and is of Yurok descent. In addition to general company management, Shani works with the agency's Native-focused business development. Start-up funding for Royle Media came from the Cobell Indian Trust Settlement.

Royle Media has worked extensively in event and festival marketing as well as with small to mid-size organizations looking to extend their reach and meet and exceed business goals.

The agency is committed to gender and racial equity and is passionate about developing more business that benefits Native communities throughout the Western states.

Native clients include the Chehalis Tribal Loan Fund, Hoopa Valley Tribe and Circle of Life Health Care.

Kitsay Marketing is a Native-owned, full-service marketing agency powered by Royle Media. Kitsay uses their digital and traditional experience to honor culture and deliver measurable results.

Kitsay (pronounced "kit-sigh") comes from the Hupa word for red-tailed hawk. This name pays respect to the agency's Native backgrounds and highlights their process of providing high-altitude vision for strategic oversight and precision targeting to accurately connect client messaging with audiences.

Kitsay is a special division of Royle Media and is supported by the parent agency's deep experience in digital marketing and advertising.
