Shani Johnson owns 51% of Royle Media and is a member of the Hoopa Valley Tribe (Humboldt County, CA), and is of Yurok descent. Her primary role is account management and content creation, working with the company’s Native-focused clients. She is scheduled to complete her doctorate degree at Portland State University Spring quarter, 2024.
Start-up funding for Royle Media came from the Cobell Indian Trust Settlement. The company is committed to gender and racial equity and is passionate about developing more business that benefits Native communities throughout the Western states.
